Copenhagen Malmö Port joined Region Gotland and building firm Aarsleff at a groundbreaking ceremony for the new cruise quay at the port of Visby, Sweden this February.
Once completed in spring 2018, the new 530m cruise quay will be able to accommodate two 340 metre-long cruise ships simultaneously. It will also feature a 3,000sqm cruise terminal for processing crew and passengers.
It is hoped that the new quay will encourage more cruise passengers to visit Visby, Gotland and the Baltic region.
