Costa Cruises is to have exclusive access to around 90,000 seats on Neos charter flights between 2016 and 2018, thanks to a new agreement with the Italian airline.

Neos flights will connect the Italian airports of Milan Malpensa, Verona, Bologna, Rome Fiumicino and Catania to Costa’s embarkations ports in various global destinations. For example, guests will be able to take fly&cruise packages from Italy to Guadeloupe Pointe-à-Pitre in the Caribbean, Warnemunde-Rostock in Germany, Stockholm in Sweden, and Oman and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

As part of the agreement, Neos may also offer flights from other Italian cities over the next three years.

“The new agreement with Neos, an Italian partner we’ve been working with for some years now, marks the continued expansion of Costa Cruises’ fly&cruise formula, which is designed to truly meet the demands of our customers,” said Neil Palomba, Costa president. “It is confirmation of our great commitment and determination to offer excellent quality service epitomising ‘Italy’s finest’, meaning innovation, style, comfort and attention to detail.”

Guests will benefit from reduced waiting times, quicker boarding and disembarkation processes, and a choice between economy or premium seating on long haul flights. Meanwhile, luggage will be taken from the embarkation airport and be delivered directly to the cabins onboard the ships. Guests returning to Italy via Warnemunde-Rostock Airport will also be able to deposit their luggage and pick up a boarding pass the night before they disembark their ship.

“For many years we’ve been partnering Costa Cruises and this new three-year deal is a ground-breaking agreement between two companies who share the main aim of continuing to support and improve Italian tourism,” said Carlo Stradiotti, Neos CEO. “Our objective is to make Costa’s customers feel that they’re already on vacation as soon as they get to the airport, by offering them the best in terms of service, quality and comfort.”
