Costa’s Costa Deliziosa will depart on its ‘Around-the-World’ cruise on 6 January 2023 from Trieste, Italy, visiting 52 destinations across four continents in 128 days.
Costa has offered around-the-world itineraries since the 1970s and its 2023 edition will take guests to the Mediterranean and the Arabian Peninsula before sailing towards India and the Maldives. Costa Deliziosa will then travel south to Madagascar and South Africa, and cross the Atlantic Ocean towards Brazil. From there, it will sail to Ushuaia in Argentina, Chile and Panama before visiting Central America and New York. It will then return to Europe.
The cruise line is also providing the opportunity for guests to extend calls in several destinations, such as Mumbai in India, Port Elizabeth and Cape Town in South Africa, and Lisbon and Azores Islands in Portugal.
Excursion highlights will include the Taj Mahal in India, Ivoloina Park in Madagascar, a cable car ride over Table Mountain in Cape Town, a three-day visit to the Galapagos Islands, and more.
The ship will accommodate almost 2,000 guests of varying ages from 6 to 94 years old. Onboard entertainment will reflect the destinations they visit, with options including a ‘Bollywood Night’, ‘Tropical Party’ and an ‘Arabian Night’.
Costa will offer a similar global trip in January 2024 and a new edition in 2025, which will be mostly based in the southern hemisphere, visiting Tierra del Fuego, Polynesia, New Zealand, Australia and South Africa and departing in December 2024.
