Costa Diadema heads to Italy

Costa Cruises’ new flagship Costa Diadema is to sail in Italy when she debuts this November.

Currently under construction at Fincantieri’s yard, the US$750-million ship will sail a seven-night preview cruise from Trieste, Italy, which will call in Dubrovnik, Croatia; Corfu, Greece; Malta; Naples; and Genoa. This will be followed by three seven-night cruises to destinations in the western Mediterranean including stopovers in Marseille, France; Barcelona, Spain; Savona and La Spezia, Italy. The itinerary also includes calls at Genoa (on the first cruise only); Palma de Mallorca, Balearic Islands; and Naplesm Italy.

Costa Diadema will then operate a weekly roundtrip service from Savona, Italy, until the end of the 2014-2015 winter season. Passsengers on these trips will call at Marseille, France; Barcelona and Palma de Mallorca, Spain; Naples and La Spezia, Italy.
