Costa Cruises’ Costa Mediterranea began her 2015 cruise season from Trieste, Italy, on 10 April.
The 85,700gt ship arrived in Trieste after a transatlantic crossing that departed from Miami in the US on 20 March. Costa Mediterranea departed from the Italian port for her first Adriatic sailing on 11 April. The turnaround call involved more than 3,600 passengers – including 1,400 disembarking and 2,200 embarking guests – from countries such as Italy, Switzerland, France, Germany, Austria and Japan.
Costa Mediterranea will make a total of 33 turnarounds from Trieste between 11 April and 21 November 2015. The ship will offer two different seven-day itineraries to destinations in Croatia, Montenegro and Greece. She will also call at Venice in Italy from 9 May.
