Costa removes Israel calls

Costa Cruises has modified several of its itineraries due to the current political instability in Israel.

From 15 September to 20 November Costa Pacifica, will substitute her scheduled overnight calls at the Israeli ports of Ashdod and Haifa with an overnight call in Istanbul, Turkey. She will also sail one-day calls in Volos, Greece.

Costa Deliziosa, which was scheduled to overnight in Haifa during her 5 September itinerary, will now overnight in Istanbul and make a one-day call in Volos and Heraklion, Greec.

“Costa Cruises considers the safety of its guests and crew members as a key priority while being onboard and during excursions,” said the cruise operator in a written statement. “The company is constantly in contact with the local and international authorities to guarantee the safety of its operations and to carefully monitor the evolution of the situation in Israel and nearby areas.”
