Costa Cruises’ Costa Victoria is to resume service on 11 November following an extensive US$18 million drydock at Singapore’s Sembawang shipyard.

Tailored to the Asian cruise market, Costa Victoria’s interior has been re-decorated to reflect contemporary Italian style and features various European artworks, such as a mosaic in the Capriccio Bar signed by Emilio Tadini. The ship has several new dining venues – including an al fresco buffet terrace, the Pizza and Noodle area and a midnight buffet – and an upgraded boutique shopping area with a wide range of designer European fashions.

“Our investment in Costa Victoria means she is going to offer our valued Asian passengers the absolute finest and most enjoyable cruising holiday, which speaks to our long-term commitment to the Asia market,” said Buhdy Bok, senior vice president, Pacific Asia and China at Costa. “As the first international cruise company to enter the China market in 2006, Costa Cruises is proud of how we’ve developed alongside China and have been able to satisfy the rapidly growing demand for cruise holidays with innovative and high-quality cruising options.”

Costa Victoria first entered the China market in May 2012.
