CroisiEurope’s Cyrano de Bergerac was inaugurated during a ceremony in Bordeaux on 17 May 2013 by her godmother Baldes Brigitte and her godfather, the actor, producer and presenter Bernard Montiel.

The city’s mayor Alain Juppé, honourary patrons Ariane Massenet and Pierre Bellemare and Father Patrick Koehler, president of Mont Saint Odile monastery, also blessed the vessel.

The new vessel was designed and constructed by CroisiEurope’s engineering team, while its motorised hull was built at the Meuse and Sambre shipyard in Namur. Teams from 25 different companies carried out the final outfitting stages at Strasbourg’s River Station.

Accommodating 180 passengers and serviced by 30 crew members, Cyrano de Bergerac measures 110 metres in length and features a lounge bar with a dance floor, a Pianorama Bar and a 1,000sqm sun deck.

Cyrano de Bergerac will offer a range of five to eight night itineraries on the Gironde Estuary and the Garonne and Dordogne rivers between March and November.
