Cruise Baltic has partnered with airline Emirates to develop joint marketing initiatives and encourage more people from Asia and Australasia to cruise in the Baltic region.

Founded in 2004, Cruise Baltic is a network of 29 cruise destinations in the Baltic Sea, meanwhile, Emirates offers flights to more than 150 destinations on six continents. This includes routes to cities in the Baltic region including Copenhagen, Denmark; Oslo, Norway; and Stockholm, Sweden.

“This partnership commitment made to us by Emirates is such significant and welcome news,” said Claus Bødker, director of Cruise Baltic. “By networking together, implementing new, joint marketing initiatives and targeting the same source markets – including those of Asia and Australia, which are ‘booming’ – I am confident that we can reach our respective objectives of attracting even more cruise visitors to the Baltic Sea region.”

“For several years Emirates has been active within the cruise industry sector, however our commitment to Cruise Baltic reflects our need to focus on priority markets, as well as the more traditional sectors,” said Paul Starrs, senior vice president of global sales at Emirates. “We can combine our resources and together meet any challenges facing the airline and cruise industry. Plus, with our complementary premium products, we will look to secure the highest standards of guest experience.”
