Port association Cruise Baltic has launched its onshore power supply overview, an extension of its existing port information that will give cruise lines details of the ports that provide onshore power in the Baltic Sea region.

The overview is intended to provide cruise lines with a resource that will help them plan more sustainable voyages. It provides technical information such as max power provided and hook-up fee for each of its ports offering onshore power and will be continuously updated.

“Many ports and cruise lines have already shown a great commitment to the green transition of the cruise industry by investing in shore power systems,” said Ida Katrine Skaarup, manager of Cruise Baltic. “With the overview we hope to create transparency and provide the cruise lines with the tools to strengthen their commitment to the use of onshore power supply to an even greater extent.”
