Cruise Fredericia has joined the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) to strengthen its market position and continue developing Fredericia as a popular Danish cruise destination.

Since 2012, Cruise Fredericia’s sales management team has increased the number of cruise calls to Fredericia through strong sales and marketing activities. It aims to gain more traction in the international cruise market by joining CLIA.

“In a fiercely competitive global cruise market, we need to strengthen our business development, and being part of CLIA opens up for enhanced networking with decision makers within the cruise industry,” said Ole Haugsted Jørgensen, strategic sales manager at Cruise Fredericia.

Located at the heart of Fredericia, the port has a dedicated cruise quay for vessels of up to 350m in length and 12m in depth. Visitors can walk from the port to the city centre, take various tours, head to three UNESCO sites, and much more.

“We are pleased to welcome Cruise Fredericia as a member of CLIA. Fredericia has a broad selection of top attractions to offer including three UNESCO sites and excellent operational facilities that can cater for even the largest cruise ships in the industry,” said says Bo Larsen, vice president of strategic partnerships at CLIA. “I am impressed by the progress I have seen from Cruise Fredericia in recent years and I look forward to strengthen our relations even further.”
