Guest satisfaction is key to attracting return visits from cruise passengers and operators, according to a study comissioned by the Cruise Baltic network.
Produced in collaboration with Research and Development Wonderful Copenhagen, the Guest Survey 2013 indicates that 87 per cent of cruise passengers from more than 40 countries were satisfied with their cruise experience in the Baltic region.
“Guest satisfaction is key in order to convince cruise lines not only to keep their existing ships in our beautiful region, but also hopefully to expand the numbers in future,” said Larsen. “I believe these results are extremely positive; in particular, the likelihood of returning to our region is of great significance to our destination partners working within the international tourism marketplace.”
The study also revealed that 59 per cent of surveyed guests would return to the Baltic region on a cruise, while 76 per cent would return to one or more of the cities, marking a significant increase from 2011. In addition, 88 per cent of all guests were likely or very likely to recommend a similar Baltic cruise to others.
The 28 cruise ports and cities in the Cruise Baltic network have also achieved high customer satisfaction levels for their welcome programmes, shore excursions and facilities.
