Real-time insights provider HundredX has predicted that the cruise industry’s rebound from the pandemic will be stronger comeback than those operating in other travel sectors such as airlines and hotels.
HundredX collected double-blind feedback from more than 35,000 cruisers by asking a series of questions using its proprietary listening tools. It found that there was a strong intent to book future cruise travel from as early as 2021 and this appetite has remained strong since. Interest if set to be steady for the foreseeable future too.
Cruise customers also indicated their top priorities when booking with a cruise line. They include (in order) food and drink, price, ship cleanliness, entertainment, staff service and staterooms.
HundredX also found that the cruise industry is resilient and often keeps its pricing low to encourage demand. It is also the only industry to see an increase in net positive percentage related to its prices in recent months, which means that customers are happy with the current price of cruises.
