Cruise Norway’s 41 member ports welcomed 2,187 cruise calls in 2013, marking a six per cent increase from 2012.

In addition, an estimated 2,740,693 passengers travelled through the ports this year, with the port of Bergen handling 311 cruise visits and 453,015 passengers alone. The ports of Stavanger and Geirangerfjord Geiranger were also busy, welcoming 343,500 and 314, 867 passengers respectively.

It is very gratifying to report that almost all of the Norwegian ports – both big and small – have experienced growth, and that the traffic is spread over a season that is becoming ever longer, said Cruise Norwegian in a written statement.
