Port of Roenne on the Danish island of Bornholm expects to host 52 cruise calls and around 45,705 passengers in 2020, marking an increase from 2019.
This year, Port of Roenne welcomed 46 cruise calls and 19,725 passengers – a slight rise from 2018 when it handled 42 ship visits and 18,461 cruise guests. The port also completed an infrastructure improvement project in early October 2019, which has helped it to secure an increased number of bookings for 2020.
“The cruise season 2019 ends at about the same level as 2018,” said Thomas Bendtsen, CEO of Port of Roenne. “We are really pleased with that – considering that this year we have received cruise guests at a time where the port construction was not yet finished. Our announcements that we have got larger quays, better maneuvering space and a water depth of 11 metres, and of course a truly unique and attractive holiday island, seems to have a quite positive effect on the market.”
