Cruise operations have restarted at the port of Le Havre, France, with the maiden call of Marella Cruises’ Marella Explorer 2.
Captain Richard Watkins and hotel director Nic Spanoudes were welcomed to the cruise terminal by Le Havre Cruise Club with a plaque exchange ceremony to mark the event. Le Havre’s tourist office teams in charge of the management of the cruise terminals have established protocols in order to guarantee compliance with sanitary regulations.
Marella Explorer will be followed by five further cruise calls at the port in September. Tui Cruises’ Mein Schiff 6 and Mein Schiff 8 will be the next to arrive on 13 and 18 September respectively. Phoenix Reisen’s Artania will visit the port on 19 September, followed by Ponant’s Le Commandant Charcot on 20 September and Le Champlain on 26 September.
