Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Europe (CSI Europe) will be held in partnership with Hamburg Messe Und Congress (HMC) in Hamburg, Germany from 2025 onwards.
Having originated at the Fira de Barcelona in Spain in 2019, CSI Europe has taken place annually at ExCel in London, UK, since 2021. It is hoped the relocation of the two-day marine interiors-focused event, which caters exclusively to the European cruise market, will enable more interior designers, outfitters and suppliers based in mainland Europe to attend the annual conference and discuss the latest industry trends, challenges and opportunities.
“Hamburg isn’t just Europe’s cruise hub; it’s a global centre for maritime innovation, offering our exhibitors access to designers, cruise operators, shipyards, and industry leaders,” said Toby Walters, CEO of Elite Exhibitions, which merged with Closer Still Media in early 2024 and organises the event. “Its prime location and robust cruise infrastructure mean better access for decision-makers, making it the ideal stage for our event.”

“With CSI Europe, we are gaining a high-calibre event for Hamburg as a trade fair location that complements HMC’s portfolio in a special way,” said Heiko M. Stutzinger, CEO of HMC, which previously hosted the Marine Interiors Cruise & Ferry Global Expo. “The cruise industry continues to boom, and there is a great demand for sustainable solutions for ship interiors. In conjunction with our broad-based maritime network and the modern, centrally located campus of our exhibition centre, together with our partner Elite Exhibitions, we see ideal conditions for the event's long-term growth.”
The first CSI Europe to take place at HMC (which also hosts SMM Hamburg and Seatrade Europe) will be held on 3-4 December 2025. The 2024 event takes place in London on 4-5 December.
