Belize welcomed 8.7% more cruise passengers in the first three months of 2017, compared to the same period in 2016.

Although passenger arrivals fell by 13.1 % in March 2017, they rose 24.2% in January and 22.7% in February as cruise ships brought a collective total of 365,635 visitors to Belize’s shores.

According to Belize Tourism Board, these numbers offer a ‘positive outlook’ for the country’s cruise market for the remainder of this year.
