Crystal Cruises has included four new ports in Crystal Serenity’s 22nd annual ‘Southern Celebración’ world cruise in 2017.

As part of the 94-night roundtrip, which departs from Miami, US on 10 January 2017, Crystal Serenity will call at cities and ports in Mexico, Belize, Honduras, Peru, Ecuador, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Brazil, the Caribbean and Antarctica.

New ports include Santo Tomás de Castilla in Guatemala, where guests will be able to visit UNESCO World Heritage Mayan ruins and enjoy snorkelling, horseback riding on the beach and kayaking.

Guests will also be to enjoy duty-free shopping, surfing, paragliding and more in Iquique, Chile, as well as a visit to Arequipa, a UNESCO-listed town surrounded by three volcanoes, in Matarani, Peru.

The ship will also make Crystal’s maiden call at Castro (on Chiloé), Chile’s third oldest city in continued existence. Here, guests will be able to see UNESCO World Heritage Sites, its palafitos – traditional wooden houses built on stilts – and art museums.

“Whether one is venturing to a region for the first time or is seeking new ways to explore much-loved destinations, there are always new places to see and new cultures to encounter,” said Edie Rodriguez, Crystal president and CEO. “The 2017 World Cruise voyages offer guests the valuable opportunity to experience a diverse and holistic journey, with the varied history and traditions among the countries visited, while also fully engaging with the customs and beauty of South America as a region.”

Crystal’s 2017 ‘Southern Celebración’ cruise can also be booked in six segments, enabling guests to enjoy ten- to 26-night voyages. Full World Cruisers will enjoy special amenities, including exclusive events onboard and ashore, specially selected gifts, private chauffeured transfers between the ship and airport, and US$1,000 per person in ‘As You Wish’ shipboard credits. Additional savings are also available for first-time Crystal guests, as well as returning Crystal Society members.
