Crystal Cruises is to offer two sailings focused on wellness in December 2024, featuring an exclusive onboard programme of dining and activities.
Crystal Symphony will depart from Barcelona on 1 December on a 14-night voyage to Tema, Ghana, with stops in Gibraltar, Morocco, the Canary Islands and Cape Verde. The ship will then set sail again from Tema on an eight-night voyage to Cape Town, South Africa, featuring a stop in Namibia and the same programming as the previous voyage.
During the cruises, guests will be able to choose from a menu of plant-based dishes curated by Crystal’s culinary team in collaboration with Dalila Roglieri, Crystal’s culinary nutritionist. They can also choose to follow a daily meal plan for fat mass reduction, with in-suite herbal tea and vegetable smoothies provided for intermittent fasting detox days.
Fitness programming will range from strength and mobility training to spin sessions, posture workouts, aerobics, walking sessions, golf instruction, pickleball clinics and dance classes. Daily yoga routines have also been designed for Crystal’s guests.
Guests will be able to access tailored beauty and health services at the Aurora Spa
Brain exercise programmes will also be available, including bridge classes and painting lessons. A digital detox programme, meanwhile, will include days without using technology. Tailored beauty and health services will be available at the Aurora Spa, including acupuncture, aromatherapy, aqua meditation and cryo facials.
Lectures will be delivered by keynote speakers, including Minna McHale, a yoga teacher and movement and mobility instructor, Jenni Demus, a yoga and mental health specialist who has taught onboard cruise ships and authored a self-help book. Dalila Roglieri will also discuss her work with chefs and food companies around the world on healthy food initiatives, while Dr. Christine Houghton, founder and faculty head of the Institute for Nutrigenomic Medicine, will introduce guests to clinical nutrigenomics, an approach to nutrition science.
Guests will also be able to disembark from the ship on wellness excursions focused on hikes, nature walks, Hammam packages, wellness cuisine cooking classes and farm-to-table experiences.
