In a river cruise industry first, Crystal River Cruises now offers live-view cameras from three vantage points onboard Crystal Mozart.

The cameras record real-time views of the ports, cities and landscapes Crystal Mozart passes or visits as she sails down the Danube, allowing website visitors to see the destinations from Crystal’s homepage. Similar live video feeds are available for the company’s ocean ships, Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity, as well as Crystal Yacht Cruises’ Crystal Esprit.

“The live views are truly a benefit for our guests and future guests at home, as they can be instantly transported to the picturesque destinations that Crystal Mozart visits,” said Edie Rodriguez, Crystal CEO and president. “It is also an extremely useful planning tool for those unfamiliar with some of the ports. They can follow along on a voyage virtually and decide which itineraries are right for them.”

Crystal Mozart also offers various other digital technologies. Suites boast 40-inch flat-screen HD televisions and iPads that serve as ‘digital directories’ where guests can request onboard services and make dining reservations. Bathrooms offer backlit mirrors with integrated televisions and TOTO Washlet personal cleaning systems, which have heated seats, automatic open/close functionality, aerated water and warm air dryer.

Meanwhile, digital signage throughout the vessel puts services and port information at guests’ fingertips, including weather forecasts, available spa appointments and dining reservations. It also shares profiles of Crystal crew members.
