Crystal Cruises’ new Diamond Class ships will accommodate around 800 guests and feature many of the elements found onboard the line’s two existing ocean ships and its new expedition yacht and river cruise vessels.

Set to join the fleet in 2022, the first of the 67,000gt Diamond Class vessels will be constructed at MV Werften’s yard in Straslund, Germany. They will have ‘luxury design elements’ and ‘exceptional’ amenities. Crystal will release further details in 2019.

“Our ocean ships are the heart of the Crystal brand and have been loved by our guests for more than 28 years,” said Tom Wolber, Crystal president and CEO. “We are delighted to expand this celebrated fleet with amenities and spaces that our guests have come to love, along with more choices and new experiences that will take luxury to the next level. We look forward to sharing more details next year with our guests and travel partners.”
