Crystal Cruises is to offer Crystal Society members free wifi access after updating its all-inclusive luxury cruise experience package.

From autumn 2014, Crystal Society members – all full revenue passengers who have completed their first Crystal cruise – will receive 60 minutes of complimentary internet access for each day of their cruise.

Society members can access the service via iPad, iPhone, laptop or other wireless device, as well as on Crystal’s own Computer University@Sea 27-inch dual-compatible iMac computers. Guests can also purchase additional minutes without an activation fee, while internet packages that reduce the per minute charge are also available.

“Whether they are onboard for a second ten-day getaway, or sailing on their 20th journey on an expansive 108-day World Cruise, travellers appreciate staying plugged in,” said Edie Bornstein, Crsytal’s president. “By adding this coveted perk to our all-inclusive experience, repeat cruisers in all stateroom and suite categories have one more reason to choose Crystal as their home base while travelling the world in the finest of luxury and ease.”

Over the last year, Crystal has introduced several upgrades to improve its onboard internet service and now provides guests with the ability to connect wirelessly throughout the ships, including in all staterooms, public spaces and outdoor decks. The line has also maximised satellite bandwidth with the latest technology, allowing more users to stream content, while guests can access internet in a greater number of places, such as Japan.
