Elite Exhibitions has revealed details about the conference and workshop programme for Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Americas (CSI Americas), which is set to take place on 6–7 June 2023, at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Florida, USA.
To be hosted in partnership with NEWH, the event will feature an extensive conference and workshop programme taking place around the show floor, with sessions covering a range of topics including trends, drydocks, newbuilds, refits and sustainability.
The conference agenda on day two will then feature sessions such as ‘The State of the Industry’ with key leaders and ‘Marine Design 101: In conversation with cruise interior design masters’.
Furthermore, for the first time, CSI Americas will be co-located with the new Hotel & Resort Design South (HRDS) – Miami's inaugural show for those involved in the design of luxury hotels, resorts and private island destinations. The show will feature a joint CSI and HRDS session titled ‘A Tale of Design – Creating an Emotional Connection’, which will take place in the HRDS lounge.
Several cruise ship interior design industry leaders will speak at the event, including Sascha Lang, vice president of architectural design – newbuild and renovation at Royal Caribbean Group; Alison Clixby, director of hotel design and projects for Carnival UK; July Grill, senior director of architecture and next-gen newbuilds at Norwegian Cruise Line; and Greg Walton, founding partner of Studio DADO.
CSI Americas will also provide multiple networking opportunities, including Speed Networking sessions, the Happy Hour drinks reception, the Procurement Brunch, and the CSI After Hours party, which will be hosted in a secret Miami location.
