Cunard is to debut a new holistic Mareel Wellness & Beauty spa concept onboard Queen Elizabeth, Queen Victoria and Queen Mary 2 between December 2018 and November 2020.
Co-created by Cunard and wellness company Canyon Ranch, the exclusive new spa has been designed to create a “a sanctuary of calm” where guests can “soak up the transformational power of the oceans.”
Facilities will include a meditation room with acoustic resonance loungers, a couples’ suite for seaweed bathing, a reconfigured multifunctional fitness centre and studio space, and sound therapy technology in every treatment room. Guests will also benefit from a new and extended ocean-inspired treatment menu that features luxury organic products made from sustainably harvested, wild-picked, biodynamic and toxin-free ingredients.
Cunard will also extend the Mareel offering beyond the spa space to provide guests with wellness activities, such as stretch and meditation films on stateroom TVs every morning, seminars, open-air yoga and dance sessions and more.
“We are delighted to share news of Mareel Wellness & Beauty, Cunard’s first ever own spa concept,” said Angus Struthers, vice president of marketing at Cunard. “Well-being is key to life, and feeling relaxed in mind and body is an important part of any holiday, and we are thrilled to offer such a luxurious spa at sea for our guests.”
Cunard will launch Mareel Wellness & Beauty on the newly renovated Queen Elizabeth this December, Queen Victoria later in December and Queen Mary 2 in November 2020.
