Award-winning British fashion designer Dame Zandra Rhodes, fashion historian and commentator Colin McDowell and founder of New York Fashion Week Fern Mallis will join a seven-night transatlantic cruise onboard Cunard Line’s Queen Mary 2 this September.

All three will sail on Cunard’s inaugural ‘Transatlantic Fashion Week’ voyage will take guests from the UK to New York, US in time for New York Fashion Week 2016, which begins on 8 September.

“A sense of occasion and dressing with style has always been at the heart of the Cunard experience,” said Angus Struthers, Cunard’s marketing director. “Guests looking to immerse themselves in the stunning surroundings of the newly refurbished Queen Mary 2 can do so in style as experts in the world of fashion share their insight into the glamorous world of fashion.” While onboard, Rhodes will discuss her career and reveal designs from her collections, which will be showcased on a catwalk by models from Storm agency.

Guests will also be able to meet students from The Royal College of Art, who will also display their latest collections onboard.

“I’m going to be doing a dress show, as well as doing a talk with the fabulous Colin McDowell,” said Rhodes. “Guests will have the chance to dine with all these specialists in the industry, ask questions from us all. I’m there to enhance everyone’s experience.”
