Cunard has unveiled a new look onboard Queen Elizabeth ahead of the ship’s inaugural Alaska season sailing from Seattle, Washington, which begins on 12 June 2025. For the first time in Cunard’s history, the ship will also spend the full season sailing from PortMiami in Florida, beginning on 16 October, offering itineraries ranging from nine to 28 nights.

The 2,000-guest ship spent three weeks at Seatrium’s Admiralty Yard in Singapore where Cunard signature spaces, such as the Commodore Club, Queens Room, Garden Lounge and The Pavilion, were refreshed. According to Cunard, the aim of refurbishing these areas was to enable guests to connect to the ocean while providing a place to relax or enjoy al fresco dining.

The newly refurbishment Queens Room takes inspiration from the Royal Palace’s tradition of planting Mulberry trees, which dates back to the time of King James I in the 1600s. The room includes a new carpet pattern replicating lush garden shrubbery and reflects the elegance and luxury reminiscent of the golden age of ocean travel.

Outdoor decks were also refurbished in order to give guests better opportunities to admire the views during their cruise, such as Alaskan glaciers and Caribbean landscapes.

The refurbishment project also included the introduction of The Pavilion Wellness Café, which debuted in 2024 on Queen Anne. This wellness-focused venue offers a plant-based menu, alongside sustainably sourced meat, fish and dairy for breakfast, lunch and daytime dining.

“As Queen Elizabeth begins this exciting new chapter, we are delighted to offer guests an even more refined experience on board, with beautifully updated spaces that combine classic Cunard style with modern comfort,” said Katie McAlister, President of Cunard. “With a full season based in Miami for the first time, more guests from the US and around the world can now experience the Caribbean with Cunard’s unique sense of luxury. The region remains a favourite for travellers on both sides of the Atlantic, and we can’t wait to welcome guests on board.”
