For the first time ever, Cunard’s three ocean liners have been photographed sailing together side by side.
The iconic Queen Mary 2 and her sister ships Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria sailed in formation from Lisbon to the UK ahead of HRH The Duke of Edinburgh’s visit to celebrate Queen Mary 2's tenth anniversary in Southampton on 9 May.
Celebrations will begin at first light when the three Queens will arrive in Southampton for an early morning birthday salute. This will be followed by a reception and lunch on board Queen Mary 2 for invited guests in the presence of His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh. In the evening, there will be a firework send-off before Queen Mary 2 leads the three ships in convoy down Southampton Water.
