Darrell Bryan, former president and CEO of Victoria Clipper, has been appointed as interim CEO of Interferry following the retirement of Len Roueche.
Bryan spent 30 years at Victoria Clipper, an international ferry system operating three high-speed catamarans between Seattle, US and Victoria, Canada. He was chosen for the role by the Interferry board of directors in late 2015 pending the appointment of Roueche’s permanent successor and officially assumed the position on 1 April 2016.
Roueche, who retired after 14 years as CEO, led the organisation’s evolution from the International Marine Transit Association to Interferry, an international association for ferry operators and industry suppliers.
“We thank Len for his long commitment to our organisation and to the international ferry community,” said Mike Grainger, Interferry chairman. “We also appreciate Darrell’s willingness to come out of retirement to manage the association, allowing us time to complete the due diligence necessary to recruit a permanent successor.”
