DP World Limassol port is to open a new cruise terminal in Cyprus this summer.

Consisting of seven pods with an internal area of 7,000 square metres, the new terminal will be open 24 hours a day and will provide integrated services for ships making day calls, and homeporting vessels. There will be three 400-metre berths with a draft of up to 11 metres (tide free) for cruise ships.

“With the opening of this new terminal, all our visitors will enjoy an even more impressive welcome,” said Charles Meaby, general manager at DP World Limassol. “This is an exciting time for Limassol and Cyprus, and DP World Limassol is focused on delivering a long-term legacy creating employment opportunities and helping Limassol reach its potential of becoming a fully-serviced homeport for cruise ships.”

Limassol’s new terminal will be the third that DP World has opened in recent years. The two others are in Mina Rashid, Dubai and Quinquela Martin, Argentina.
