Elite Exhibitions is to launch the Sustainable Design Summit (SDS), a new event for the cruise, hotel and aviation interiors sectors to share ideas that will enable travel to become more sustainable.
SDS is due to take place at The Brewery exhibition venue in London, UK, on 29 November, and will be attended by designers and customer experience experts from across the three industries. Talks and roundtable discussions will be aimed at encouraging cross-sector insights, while a product showcase will highlight innovative materials, textiles and other interior products.
The expert-led sessions will explore topics including the principles of sustainability, designing with net zero targets in mind and how do sustainable interiors impact customer journey. Breakout sessions throughout the day will give delegates the opportunity to hold conversations addressing circular design, colour, material and finish and sustainability infrastructure.
“We are delighted that so many experts from across all three sectors are supporting this launch by joining our advisory board, including My Nguyen, director of interior design at Holland America Group; Blake Emery, president at Emery & Associates; and Bryan Liska, director of design at Hilton Latin America & the Caribbean,” said Toby Walters, CEO of Elite Exhibitions. “Brand owners, airlines, cruise lines, hoteliers, design studios, interiors suppliers and leading sustainability experts are invited to attend this focused day of learning and networking.”
Cruise & Ferry Interiors will be one of the headline partners for SDS and its executive editor Jon Ingleton is on the advisory board.
