Emerald Cruises’ new superyacht, Emerald Azzurra, will depart for her maiden voyage from Aqaba, Jordan, on 11 March 2022. The inaugural roundtrip will last for eight days, calling at ports in Egypt and Israel on Emerald’s ‘The Best of the Red Sea’ itinerary.
The itinerary features excursions in such as scuba diving to see shipwrecked vessels in Aqaba, visiting Saint Catherine’s Monastery at Hurghada in Egypt, and a guided tour of Timma Park & Eilat’s underwater observatory in Eilat, Israel.
Emerald Azzurra’s itineraries will also feature several water-based activities, including guided kayaking tours, scuba diving and paddleboarding. Her marina platform is designed to give guests easy access to the water.
Following her maiden voyage, Emerald Azzurra will sail a second Red Sea cruise before beginning her spring and summer season, where she will sail across the Mediterranean and Adriatic on an eight-day ‘Highlights of Southern Italy’ itinerary from Rome to Dubrovnik, Croatia . Highlights will include a guided tour of Sorrento in Italy, a kayaking tour on the Amalfi Coast, and a river tubing excursion on the Alcantara River. Ports of call include Amalfi, Giardini Naxos, Crotone, Otranto and Monopoli.
The new vessel carries a maximum of 100 guests and features 50 deluxe suites and staterooms, 80 per cent of which have private balconies. Other public onboard areas include an infinity-style pool, a spa, gym and sauna . Due to her size, Emerald Cruises is able to visit ports and harbours that are only accessible to small yachts.
