Emre Sayın has been appointed as CEO of Global Ports Holding (GPH), an international port operator that provides services to more than five million cruise passengers in ten ports per year.

Sayın has worked in several executive marketing positions at companies such as Merrill Lynch, Unilever, Microsoft, Kodak, Evyap, Turkcell and most recently, held the position of deputy general director of Business Development at Vimpelcom and as a senior advisor at Verizon, New York.

“I strongly believe that although we are the world leader, we are only at the beginning of GPH’s growth story,” said Sayin. “There are numerous tools to use to achieve better service quality and to add value to the cruise and transportation sectors while enhancing passengers’ experiences at the ports. My experience in marketing, service development and experience management, together with our spread-out international team’s devotion, will make a serious difference to reaching our goal. This synergy and knowledge sharing will not only result in an increase in service quality, but it will also lead to an increase in tourist arrivals in countries where we are active, and ensure that tourists will leave these countries happier.”

An affiliate of Global Investment Holdings, GPH operates eight cruise ports and two multi-purpose ports in seven countries in the Mediterranean, Asia Pacific, Adriatic and the Aegean Sea.
