Century Casinos is the largest independent casino concessionaire on luxury cruise vessels worldwide. Led by CEOs Peter Hoetzinger and Erwin Haitzmann, the company boasts unrivalled experience and expertise having successfully developed and operated more than 130 casinos in 25 countries and on at least 50 cruise vessels during the past 30 years.

Cruise ships with Century casinos onboard include Regent Seven Seas’ Mariner, Voyager and Navigator, Oceania Cruises’ Regatta, Nautica, Marina, Windstar’s Wind Surf, Wind Star and Wind Spirit, as well as TUI’s Mein Schiff 1 and Mein Schiff 2.

Calgary, Edmonton, Denver and Colorado Springs are the core markets for the company’s four North American casino operations, which also offer a great range of non-gaming amenities such as showrooms, entertainment lounges, concert and sports venues, a bowling centre, comedy club, hotels and various bars and restaurants. The company’s Eastern European subsidiary Casinos Poland, enjoys a 54 per cent share of the Polish casino market. Rounding off the company’s gaming portfolio is the high-class casino it manages at the Radisson resort in Aruba, Caribbean.

The group operates over 220 gaming tables and 2,400 gaming machines in all casino properties combined and pride itself on outstanding customer service and player loyalty programmers which generate an unusually high proportion of repeat business from its customers.

Century has just reported its tenth consecutive quarter with year-on-year earnings growth and also has one of the healthiest financial statements of the casinos industry, with more cash than debt on its balance sheet. And last year alone, Century’s casinos paid over US$100 million in contributions, fees and taxes to governmental authorities, supporting the poor and needy, cultural and historical initiatives, sports, health systems as well as programmes for the young people and senior citizens.

The company provides training and employment for 1,600 people of 32 different nationalities, while at the same time Century and its management team are committed to promoting responsible gaming among its customers. Compulsive and underage gambling are serious issues and the company believes that all entities involved in legal wagering have an obligation to demonstrate positive action in addressing these problems. Century Casinos commits considerable human and financial resources to educate and build awareness in deterring underage and problem gambling at its casinos.

Guests on luxurious cruise ships come with high expectations and they are used to VIP treatment. This translates to an uncompromising requirement for a consistently professional and fun experience with a personal touch. Century’s casino managers have the expertise, experience and understanding of how to best serve VIP clientele. With a proven track record of various management roles within the organisation’s land-based casinos, only the best of the best make it to the luxurious vessels.
