Norwegian Epic will become Norwegian Cruise Lines’ largest ever ship to homeport year-round in Europe when she arrives in Barcelona, Spain from 30 April 2015.
The 4,100-passenger vessel will offer a variety of European itineraries from the Spanish cruise port throughout 2015. Details regarding the 2015 European itineraries will be released in mid-March.
“We are excited to announce that our largest ship, Norwegian Epic, will homeport in Europe year-round in 2015,” said Kevin Sheehan, Norwegian’s CEO. “Norwegian Epic’s innovative accommodations, world-class entertainment and plethora of dining options are the perfect complement to the European cruise market, one of the most sought-after cruise destinations in the world.”
Guests sailing on Norwegian Epic will enjoy Norwegian’s signature Freestyle Cruising experience, which gives guests additional dining, entertainment and accommodation choices, as well as the flexibility to spend longer onshore.
Passengers can enjoy a range of recreational activities in venues such as the bowling alley, rock climbing wall, the Mandara Spa and Aqua Park, which features three waterslides and Epic Plunge, the largest bowl slide on water. The vessel also has 20 dining venues including Cagney’s and O’Sheehan’s Neighborhood Bar & Grill, as well as 20 bars and lounges, such as the Svedka/Inniskillin Ice Bar.
In addition, Norwegian Epic has a range of accommodations options, including The Haven by Norwegian, the line’s exclusive ship-within-a-ship suite complex comprised of 60 suites and villas on two private decks on top of the ship. The ship also features balcony and inside staterooms, multi-room suites, interconnecting staterooms, two-bedroom Family Suites and Studio staterooms designed for solo travellers.
