Evac has won a €10 million order to provide its new Evac Complete Cleantech Solution for three new large-scale cruise vessels.

Each vessel will be equipped with an Evac Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor wastewater treatment plant, which will enable them to operate in international Environmentally Sensitive Sea Areas and Special Areas with discharge restrictions.

The Evac Complete Cleantech Solution contract also covers dry and wet waste treatment systems for each ship, including an incinerator and recycling equipment for glass, plastic, paper, cardboard and aluminium waste. Evac will also supply food waste vacuum systems, a bio sludge treatment unit, six vacuum units and around 2,300 vacuum toilets per vessel.

The vessels are scheduled for delivery between 2018 and 2021. Evac also has an option to outfit an additional ship.
