Light has a significant impact on guests’ well-being, according to lighting manufacturer L&S Italia.
Scientific research has shown that its effects operate on several levels: visual, cognitive, emotional and biological. Therefore, it is important to be able to fine-tune lighting, especially in spaces like interior cabins. Human central lighting (HCL) technology from L&S Italia provides a simple and innovative way for shipowners to change lights according to the time of day.
For the cruise sector, L&S Italia has designed a specific Solaris lighting panel using HCL technology, which can replicate the light filtered through a window in order to make the time spent in the cabin more enjoyable. Specially made ‘light scenes’ can also be set up based on personal preferences and the intended activities over the course of the day.
