Experts from The New York Times are to join Cunard Line’s onboard Insights programme from 2016.

Due to debut on Queen Mary 2’s 3 January 2016 voyage, the New York Time’s experts will sail on all east-bound Transatlantic Crossings throughout 2016.

Named ‘The New York Times Insights Cruise’, the 3 January itinerary will feature a line-up of The New York Times experts including former foreign correspondent and columnist Clyde Haberman; science writer John Schwartz; Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist David Cay Johnston; national security reporter Michael Schmidt; and Peter Lewis, former senior writer at The New York Times and Fortune Magazine.

Talks will cover various topics such as national security, climate change, the space programme, tax issues, sports, technology, journalism, the ancient world and more.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with The New York Times to curate such an enriching and entertaining travel adventure,” said Richard Meadows, president of Cunard North America. “This will be an exciting enhancement to our Cunard Insights program, with a calibre of experts that will surely spark a stimulating and thought-provoking experience for our guests.”

Guests can also purchase an exclusive pre-cruise and onboard package for the 3 January Queen Mary 2 Transatlantic sailing. This programme includes a tour of the newsroom and brunch at The New York Times office prior to the sailing.
