Seabourn will provide a 15-member team of expert lecturers and naturalists onboard Seabourn Quest during its 2013-2014 inaugural Ultimate Antarctica and Patagonia cruises.

New additions to the team include Dr Roger Hewitt, who has led expeditions and surveys in Antarctica for more than 15 years; Dr Jason Hicks, a geologist who will discuss the geology and glaciology of South America and Antarctica; Meriwether Gill, who will share her passion for marine wildlife; Pat and Rosemarie Keough, two award-winning photographers who will provide photography classes; and many more.

Working with the ship’s senior team, which includes Captain Bjarne Larsen and expedition leader Robin West, the experts will leverage more than 100 years of collective research and experience to offer passengers insights and knowledge about the Antarctic continent

An expedition team comprising of six lecturers, four naturalists, three expedition specialists and two award-winning photographers will sail on each cruise, providing guests with digital photography workshops and exclusive activities based on real-time reports of wildlife and weather conditions.

Quest will offer a series of four 21 and 24-day voyages between Valparaíso in Chile and Buenos Aires in Argentina, from 20 November 2013.

Guests will be able to explore the Chilean coast and fjords, Beagle Channel, Glacier Alley, Torres del Paine National Park, Cape Horn, the Falkland and Malvinas Islands and Montevideo. They will also enjoy five days landing at various places on the Antarctic continent for on-ship and onshore wildlife sighting.
