Pemamek will supply its welding automation technology to Fincantieri’s Monfalcone Shipyard in summer 2013.

As part of the contract, Pemamek will design, manufacture and install a laser-hybrid based, one-sided welding station and a unique profile processing line at the yard, as well as offering training.

The profile processing line features edge-blasting and milling functions, as well as a robotic cutting and sorting system, while the company’s plate-joining system consists of a one-sided welding station with laser-hybrid welding integrated together with tandem MAG process to accommodate a range of thicknesses. It uses Pemamek’s milling machine technology and rigid clamping systems for in-feeding and out-feeding the plates with related conveyors.

Pemamek previously supplied its patented Vision Robot Stations for welding panels to Fincantieri.
