Orient Express has revealed the design and interiors of its first vessel, Orient Express Corinthian, which will be the largest sailing yacht in the world when it sets sail in June 2026.

Designed by Chantiers de l’Atlantique, Orient Express Corinthian will be 220 metres in length and feature 4,500 square metres of sails mounted on three inclinable masts. It will be able to reach a speed of 17 knots propelled solely by the wind.

Architect Maxime d’Ageac, artistic director of Orient Express, has designed the interiors of the vessel. The décor is inspired by the golden age of the Orient Express train and the brand’s “spirit of innovation and comfort.”

“All the suites and the entire design of the yacht have been conceived as unique spaces that break the boundaries of Orient Express’s classic decorative grammar while remaining true to its very particular codes,” said d’Angeac. “A contemporary vision of Orient Express, that of an era in which high quality is synonymous with excellence and calls for a real aesthetic revolution.”

Orient Express Corinthian will include 54 suites measuring between 45 and 230 metres squared. Six premium class suites will be situated on deck seven, while 48 standard suites will be located on decks four, five and six. Each will be decorated with wood, leather and marble, and will feature panoramic bay windows offering views of the sea.

The yacht will also offer five restaurants, each designed in a “warm and timeless” style, while the marina at the stern of the vessel will provide a venue for dinners and sea activities at the water’s edge. Other features will include eight bars, a 115-seat cabaret, a recording studio, a swimming pool, a cinema and a spa.

“Harnessing its boundless imagination, Orient Express has conjured up a dreamworld of discoveries, meetings, motion and emotions,” said Sebastian Bazin, chairman and CEO of Accor Group. “With Orient Express Corinthian, the Orient Express legend is now preparing to sail the world’s finest seas offering an unprecedented experience of travel and adventure. Drawing inspiration from the golden age of luxury cruises, the yacht reinvents movement and comfort on the water and is designed to meet the sustainability challenges of the future. It’s a great source of pride for all of us.
