FleetPro Ocean, which formerly operated as International Shipping Partners, is to provide technical management services for the 350-passenger Kristina Katerina cruise ship.
Built in 1982 and acquired by Finnish operator Kristina Cruises in 2010, Kristina Katerina was recently sold to an international investment group as part of a court-approved corporate restructuring.
Following a full refurbishment and certification in Las Palamas, Canary Islands, the vessel will be renamed Ocean Endeavour.
“Our strong experience in running cruise and ferry services will be an excellent complement for the opportunities this ship offers,” said Robert Straubhaar, president and CEO of FleetPro. “We are honoured that the new owners have chosen us to manage this quality ship. We see lots of opportunities in supporting the ship and her operations after finishing her lay up in Las Palmas.”
Kristina Cruises, which was established in 1985, intends to operate as a tour company offering cruise holidays for the Finnish market. The company’s website is currently promoting European river cruises with departures on the Elbe and Rhine starting in April.
