Former MedCruise president joins Global Ports Holding

Former MedCruise president Carla Salvadó as director of cruise marketing at Global Ports Holding (GPH).

In her new role, Salvadó will be responsible for leading the marketing activities of GPH cruise ports while giving support to the expansion of the company. “I’m very excited to join GPH, a vibrant and dynamic company with a consistent project within the cruise industry,” said Salvadó.

Salvadó, who joined the cruise industry in 2003 as secretary general of MedCruise and in 2006, she became cruise manager at Barcelona Port Authority.

In 2010 she was appointed as marketing and cruise director, representing the port on the board of directors for Creuers del Port de Barcelona (2010-2013), Cruceros Málaga (2011-2012), MedCruise (2008-2014) and the European Sea Ports Organisation. Salvadó was also made president of MedCruise in 2014 and has now been replaced by Kristijan Pavić, deputy general manager of Dubrovnik Port Authority in Croatia.
