Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ 880-guest ship Boudicca returned to Liverpool’s Pier Head Cruise Terminal on 9 June to start her 2017 summer season from the UK port.
Boudicca arrived as part of a 26-night ‘Bermuda & the America’s Cup’ cruise, which will enable guests to see the 35th America’s Cup in Hamilton, Bermuda. The ship will then sail 10 itineraries from the Port of Liverpool from June to September. The cruises will take guests to destinations in Scotland, the French Riviera, Spain, Canada, Norway, and the Azores.
“Fred. Olsen is a frequent visitor to the Merseyside region, giving our loyal guests from the North West a greater choice of destinations and holiday durations from their local port,” said Justin Stanton, sales and marketing director for Fred. Olsen. “With its stunning vistas and proud maritime heritage, there is something very special about cruising from Liverpool, and it is a tremendous benefit to be able to offer our guests the chance to set sail from the world-famous Pier Head.”
Boudicca will be in port overnight during the city’s annual ‘International Beatleweek Festival’, taking place from 23-29 August 2017, and will also host an adults-only ‘Summer Party Night’ in Liverpool on 28 August.
During the 2018-2019 cruise season, Fred. Olsen’s 804-guest ship Black Watch will return to Liverpool to offer a record 18 cruise itineraries from April to November. This is Fred. Olsen’s longest-ever cruise season from the city.
