Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ 880-guest Boudicca is to offer four itineraries from Tilbury in winter 2015.

Boudicca will start her Tilbury season with a 14-night ‘Landscapes of Madeira & the Canaries’ cruise on 30 November. The ship will call at Tenerife and La Palma in the Canary Islands, Casablanca in Morocco, Madeira and Leixões in Portugal.

This will be followed by a two-night ‘Mini-Cruise to Rotterdam’ on 15 December, which will take passengers to the Netherlands. A local choir and Santa Claus will greet the ship as she arrives in Rotterdam, then guests will be able to visit various attractions or enjoy a show at the city’s famous Christmas Circus.

On 17 December, Boudicca will offer a four-night ‘Bruges & Amsterdam’ mini-cruise to enable guests to visit traditional Christmas markets and chocolate shops in Bruges, Belgium. They will also be able to take an evening canal ride in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Boudicca’s final 14-night ‘Canaries & Portuguese Christmas & New Year’ cruise, which will depart on 21 December, will sail to Leixões and then spend Christmas day at sea. The ship will then visit Las Teresitas, Tenerife and Maspalomas, Gran Canaria, Funchal in Madeira, and Santa Cruz in La Palma. Guests will celebrate New Year’s Eve in Lisbon, Portugal.

“We are pleased to be offering our guests in Essex the opportunity to embark on a Fred. Olsen cruise this winter from ‘on their doorstep’,” said Nathan Philpot, the line’s sales and marketing director. “We are committed to making our cruises accessible to guests around the UK and are proud to be the ‘local, global’ cruise line that offers unique and award winning itineraries…from more regional departure ports than any other cruise line.”
