Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ Braemar is to start her second season from Harwich International Port in Essex, UK, on 4 April.
The 929-guest ship will open her season with a seven-night ‘Easter City Getaway’ cruise, which includes overnights in Hamburg, Germany, and Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Guests will also spend a full day in Antwerp, Belgium.
Fred. Olsen will also offer a two-night Amsterdam Mini-Cruise on 11 April, a five-night ‘Elvis at 80’ cruise on 13 April, a 14-night ‘Spanish Coastal & River Cruising’ itinerary on 18 April and a seven-night ‘Mountains & Majestic Fjords’ cruise to Norway on 2 May.
“Braemar’s forthcoming cruise season from Harwich builds upon Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ already-close relationship with this convenient, regional port,” said Nathan Philpot, sales and marketing director for Fred. Olsen. “As the ‘local, global cruise line’, we are committed to offering cruise guests in eastern England and the Midlands the chance to set sail from right on their doorsteps.”
Philpot added: “Our ‘Bringing the world closer to you’ strategy is clearly resonating with our customers, as the top East Anglian postcodes of Colchester, Ipswich, Norwich, Chelmsford, Peterborough, Romford, Northampton and Stevenage account for over 50% of all bookings from Harwich in 2015, with 60% of guests being new.”
