Oceania Cruises is to provide complimentary internet access to guests booked in either a suite or Concierge Level stateroom on any of its five mid-size ships from winter 2015.
Marking the first time the cruise line has offered a free internet programme, the new initiative will enable guests to take advantage of the free internet in the Oceania@Sea cafe, or via the wi-fi system, which was recently upgraded to increase bandwidth and connectivity throughout the ships.
The unlimited internet offer applies to all guests booked in Owner’s, Vista and Oceania suites, while passengers booked in Penthouse suites or Concierge Level staterooms will receive blocks of complimentary internet time based on cruise length. This will range from 200 free minutes for those sailing on a seven-night cruise, to 500 minutes for guests on a voyage of more than 16 nights.
More than 55% of all guests on Marina and Riviera and nearly half of those sailing on Regatta, Insignia and Nautica will be able to take advantage of the programme.
“Oceania Cruises is committed to providing our guests with an extraordinary cruise vacation for an incomparable value, so we’re excited to add free internet to an already long list of included amenities, such as free roundtrip airfare and complimentary dining experiences at our exquisite specialty restaurants,” said Kunal Kamlani, president of Oceania Cruises. “We know our guests want to stay connected with friends and family while exploring the world with Oceania Cruises. Now, as guests are enjoying life onboard, they will be able to freely share cherished vacation memories with loved ones back home from the comfort of the ship.”
The new initiative will be rolled out on each individual ship as they start their respective winter seasons. Consequently, it will be available on Nautica from 25 October 2015, Marina on 3 November, Regatta on 4 November, Riviera on 2 December and Insignia on 4 January 2016.
