French America Line is is to sail on the rarely visited Illinois, Arkansas and Red rivers for the first time in 2017-2018.

To officially launch with its 150-passenger flagship Louisiane on 30 September 2016, the new US-based cruise line will offer a total of 48 five- to 14-day experiential cruise tours between 4 March 2017 to 6 January 2018.

New 2017 destination ports will include Chattanooga, Tennessee; Louisville, Kentucky; and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Guests can enjoy a pre-cruise, one-night deluxe hotel stay prior to embarkation as part of their cruise fee.

Meanwhile, 16 itineraries will enable guests to spend the night onboard Louisiane and then sail to four ports of call including Louisville; Memphis, Tennessee; Natchez, Massachusetts, and St. Louis, Missouri.

The ‘Deep South’ itineraries will depart from New Orleans, Los Angeles and Memphis, Tennessee to ports along the Lower Mississippi and rarely visited Red River. Meanwhile, the ‘Mississippi Headwaters’ cruises will take guests on the Ohio, Mississippi and Illinois River after departing from St Louis, St. Paul in Minnesota, and Chicago in Illinois. Louisiane’s ‘River Crossroads’ voyages will depart St. Louis, Louisville and Pittsburgh to sail the Ohio and Mississippi rivers. Finally, the ‘Wilderness Rivers’ itineraries will take guests from Louisville and Chattanooga to ports on the Tennessee and Cumberland rivers.
