Dream Cruises’ first-ever cruise ship, Genting Dream, made her debut in Singapore on 4 November.

The 151,300gt newbuild called in Singapore en route to her new homeport in Nansha, Guangzhou in China.

Construction of Genting Dream started at Meyer Werft in February 2015 and the ship was conveyed down the river Ems in Germany to Eemshaven, Netherlands in September. Following sea trials in Bremerhaven, Germany, Meyer Weft officially delivered the vessel to Dream Cruises on 12 October.

Genting Dream then departed Germany and sailed to Singapore via Gibraltar, the Mediterranean Sea, the Suez Canal and the Indian Ocean. She will visit India, Singapore, Vietnam and Hong Kong before arriving in Guangzhou on 13 November.

The vessel can accommodate 3,400 guests in 1,674 staterooms, including the ‘Dream Mansion’, an exclusive ‘ship-within-a-ship’ complex featuring two floors of suites with European-style butler service.

Guests can enjoy Chinese regional, Asian and international cuisine in 35 bars and restaurants, as well as various entertainment options and venues. Highlights will include China’s Got Talent – The Dream Experience, a 45-minute theatrical representation of the worldwide TV series, and the first at-sea Zouk nightclub.

Between November and March 2017, Genting Dream will offer year-round two-night weekend cruises from Guangzhou each Friday, which will call at Hong Kong. She will also depart on five-night cruises from Hong Kong each Sunday, which will call at Halong Bay, Danang and Sanya.
