Calvey Marine is a UK-based company representing first-class worldwide shipyards for repair and conversion works, as well as providing a growing range of marine services. As a family-owned company, we are passionate about the industry and endeavour to provide an exceptional level of service, both to the principals we represent and to our clients.
In the last fifteen years, we have seen the industry transformed. Despite day-to-day communications having changed, it is still imperative to foster good relationships between all parties. Members of our highly qualified marketing team visit clients each week to ascertain how they can assist in the coming weeks, months, and even years.
By having daily contact with the shipyards they represent, our team can ensure that they are fully informed regarding dock availability and developments in the yard and of course, being so closely in touch means that they can provide accurate information and timely support when emergencies arise. The marine industry is a fast-moving environment but the close manner in which we work enables us to cover our clients’ needs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Prestigious and well-placed shipyards provide the base for a large international portfolio and the company looks forward to building on past successes by actively seeking to increase the marine services it can offer to a wide client base. Calvey Marine’s extensive experience has built a reputation within the industry for its excellent global network of drydocks, along with professionalism and quality of service.
Determined to keep evolving, we are proud to have recently signed an agency agreement to work in partnership with the esteemed underwater service provider, UMC International. This fully accredited provider of underwater maintenance, repair and support services can offer global assistance. Therefore, with the addition of UMC’s extensive range of services and wealth of experience, Calvey Marine can now offer an unrivalled range of services to the marine industry. Quality of service and customer satisfaction are key to both companies’ values and with this latest addition, Calvey Marine has added a leading brand within the industry.
Looking to the future, 2012 sees the company celebrate twenty-one years in the marine industry and we feel that we are well placed to meet the demands of ship owners, despite the current difficult financial climate. By continuing to work closely with our principals, we have no doubt that we shall continue to provide excellent service to our clients. The short-term future will be difficult for the shipping industry but we believe that good companies evolve to survive and weather any storms that may come their way.
